If Leonel Leão had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. With an all-out effort, Araçá F. C.'s Juan Pirani threw himself towards the right post 24 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Nilmar Vieira, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ademar Severo in the 26th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jefferson de Moraes prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A collision led to Acarai getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Telmo Sanches hit a great ball. If Leonel Leão had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alberto Vianna charged in rather forcefully in the 36th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alberto Vianna the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Acarai's Alberto Vianna got a free kick in the 36th minute. In the 51st minute, Nilmar Vieira left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Araçá F. C. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0. In the 54thth minute of the game Nilmar Vieira who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Acarai's Juan Pirani was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 55 minutes into the match, Acarai's goal looked a bit too open when Nilmar Vieira came free, but Juan Pirani reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Acarai's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Nilmar Vieira was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 7-0. Carlos Fernando Siqueira hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 91st minute, Nilmar Vieira managed to get in a good position for a shot. Araçá F. C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Nilmar Vieira was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Juan Pirani breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Joélson de Sousa blasted a shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Juan Pirani having to make a save. Nilmar Vieira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Juan Pirani having to interfere. Juan Pirani showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nilmar Vieira in the 97th minute of the match. Araçá F. C.'s supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
