Juan Pirani made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adam Encuțescu in the 12th minute of play. In the 14th minute, Boudewijn De Mijer ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Juan Pirani was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. In the 19th minute, Breno de Barros hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 22 minutes into the game, Amadeu Quintal recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Juan Pirani. Amadeu Quintal showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-0. Amadeu Quintal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Cascavel fans' excitement grew in the 30th match minute when Cascavel's Boudewijn De Mijer looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 4-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Sidnei Reis was the one to do the kick off. If Amadeu Quintal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When Cascavel's Adam Encuțescu in the 93rd minute got a chance for a shot 93rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Acarai's goalie prevented a goal.
