An unexpectedly hard shot by Vânderson Borges in the 3rd minute of play forced Kabelo FC's goalkeeper Eliézer Sergipano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Eliézer Sergipano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carlos Madureira in the 5th minute of play. Carlos Augusto Soares hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. 9 minutes into the match, Kabelo FC's goal looked a bit too open when Gugu Cordeiro came free, but Eliézer Sergipano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 傅旭海's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 10thth minute, Claudinho Abreu skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. A collision led to EC Caucaia getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Aníbal Aparecido hit a great ball. Cesinha Sousa hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. Eliézer Sergipano didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Diego Quadros went, in the 15th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. The supporters of EC Caucaia booed when Kabelo FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marconi Coutinho didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 20th minute of the match Carlos Madureira shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Eliézer Sergipano showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. A collision led to Kabelo FC getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Ján Bednařík hit a great ball. In the 25th minute, Denílson Godoi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 傅旭海 recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 27 minutes into the match, EC Caucaia's goalkeeper Claudinho Abreu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Denílson Godoi. When the match had gone on for 29 minutes, 傅旭海 put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Claudinho Abreu. Claudinho Abreu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Serafin Hori went, in the 37th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. 傅旭海 struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. Claudinho Abreu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Kabelo FC. 43 minutes into the match, EC Caucaia's goal looked a bit too open when Denílson Godoi came free, but Claudinho Abreu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 45th minute, Aníbal Aparecido left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The EC Caucaia fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Vânderson Borges stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Claudinho Abreu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of 傅旭海's shot from short distance in the 51st minute. After some careless play in the EC Caucaia defense, 傅旭海 kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Claudinho Abreu. The EC Caucaia fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Claudinho Abreu should have stopped the shot. The supporters of EC Caucaia booed when Kabelo FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marconi Coutinho didn't get a good kick on the ball. Diego Quadros received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Eliézer Sergipano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 61 minutes, Aníbal Aparecido took a quick shot and it went in 3-3 without a chance for Eliézer Sergipano to make any attempt to save it. In the 65th minute, EC Caucaia's Vânderson Borges ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Eliézer Sergipano. Eliézer Sergipano yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-4. Serafin Hori fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Claudinho Abreu having to interfere. Marconi Coutinho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 73rd minute the ball was on its way in behind EC Caucaia's goalkeeper Claudinho Abreu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Denílson Godoi's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Claudinho Abreu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 76th minute of play. Kabelo FC's 傅旭海 got a good chance for a goal in the 77th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Aníbal Aparecido sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Claudinho Abreu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Serafin Hori, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 82 played minutes EC Caucaia got a freekick which was hit by Carlos Madureira. 83 minutes into the match, EC Caucaia's goal looked a bit too open when Denílson Godoi came free, but Claudinho Abreu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Eliézer Sergipano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Diego Quadros in the 85th minute of the match. After some careless play in the EC Caucaia defense, Serafin Hori kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Claudinho Abreu. The EC Caucaia fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Claudinho Abreu should have stopped the shot. Claudinho Abreu came out of the goal in the 90th minute to try and stop a shot by Kabelo FC's Denílson Godoi. But to his dismay, Denílson Godoi quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-4. Denílson Godoi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Claudinho Abreu having to interfere.
