When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 4-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Nilmar Vieira made a kick off. Jefferson de Moraes made an important save on a dangerous shot by Berkant Canel in the 53rd minute. 54 minutes into the match, Araçá F. C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Berkant Canel came free, but Jefferson de Moraes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Joélson de Sousa might have been able to make a better finish in the 55th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Rodrigo Amorim. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jefferson de Moraes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Berkant Canel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Clube União Popular getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Franklin Hermes hit a great ball. Araçá F. C. made a substitution. Paulo José de Andrade replaced Leonel Leão. Rodrigo Amorim showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nilmar Vieira, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Berkant Canel in the 75th minute of play forced Araçá F. C.'s goalkeeper Jefferson de Moraes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hassan Mignon's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Jefferson de Moraes firmly grabbed it by the left post. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, Nilmar Vieira managed to get in a good position for a shot. Araçá F. C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Nilmar Vieira was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rodrigo Amorim breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Araçá F. C.'s fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
