Arturo Bianco made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sidnei Reis in the 7th minute. 9 minutes into the game, Sidnei Reis was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FORÇA JOVEM F.C's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave São Paulo Futebol Clube the free kick. A sloppy throw-in by Telmo Sanches in the 13th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by São Paulo Futebol Clube's Eduardo de Toledo. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Abelardo Sá was the one to do the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Abelardo Sá got free with Juan Pirani in the 54th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
