Araçá F. C.'s Jefferson de Moraes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Filip Milan in the 9th minute of play. The supporters of Cascavel booed when Araçá F. C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nilmar Vieira didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Araçá F. C.'s Oswaldo Maciel got a free kick in the 15th minute. 17 minutes into the game, Mazinho de Sena was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cascavel's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Araçá F. C. the free kick. Leonel Leão received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Lucas Trigo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 20 minutes into the game, Joélson de Sousa recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Lucas Trigo. Joélson de Sousa showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Nilmar Vieira took the ball and in the 23 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Lucas Trigo. Lucas Trigo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Lucas Trigo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joélson de Sousa in the 26th minute of the match. After 30 minutes of play, Cascavel's Filip Milan made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jefferson de Moraes was left in no man's land by his defense there! 34 minutes into the match, Araçá F. C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Filip Milan came free, but Jefferson de Moraes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match had gone on for 38 minutes, Joélson de Sousa took a quick shot and it went in 3-1 without a chance for Lucas Trigo to make any attempt to save it. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Nilmar Vieira to make the kick off. With a little luck, Araçá F. C.'s Jefferson de Moraes got control of the ball when Adam Encuțescu tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Nilmar Vieira came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the Araçá F. C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nilmar Vieira couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Araçá F. C. booed when Cascavel was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ismael Paraibano didn't get a good kick on the ball. 59 minutes into the match, Araçá F. C.'s Nilmar Vieira sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Lucas Trigo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Nildo Brito fell near the penalty area in the 61st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Araçá F. C.'s protests and gave Nildo Brito a yellow card for diving instead. In the 62nd minute, Nildo Brito hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some careless play in the Cascavel defense, Carlos Fernando Siqueira kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Lucas Trigo. The Cascavel fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Lucas Trigo should have stopped the shot. In the 74th minute the ball was on its way in behind Araçá F. C.'s goalkeeper Jefferson de Moraes, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Araçá F. C. made a substitution. Paulo José de Andrade replaced Leonel Leão. Araçá F. C.'s Jefferson de Moraes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 84th minute of the match, managed to save Araçá F. C. from getting a goal against them. Lucas Trigo came out of the goal in the 86th minute to try and stop a shot by Araçá F. C.'s Nilmar Vieira. But to his dismay, Nilmar Vieira quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-1. In the 88th minute, Oswaldo Maciel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Adam Encuțescu got free with Jefferson de Moraes in the 89th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After having played for 91 minutes, Nilmar Vieira managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Araçá F. C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Nilmar Vieira was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Lucas Trigo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nilmar Vieira in the 94th minute of the match. After 96 minutes Cascavel's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was João Breckenfeld who took care of the corner kick. The Araçá F. C. players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
