Universidade Celestial FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Eugênio Negri in the 16th minute. A well-hit corner resulted in Sílvio Luís Neto heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Enrico Carvalho in the 18th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Aleksander Majerowicz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Enrico Carvalho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Aleksander Majerowicz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dionysos Pezos in the 22nd minute of the match. In the 32nd minute Dionysos Pezos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aleksander Majerowicz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Durval Vaz was the one to do the kick off. Ramiro Reis's late challenge caught a Universidade Celestial FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ramiro Reis helped the player get up and apologised. Dionysos Pezos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aleksander Majerowicz having to interfere. Universidade Celestial FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 55th minute, when Ramiro Reis scored to the left of an out of position Gaston Sessa, making the score, 1-2. A collision led to Universidade Celestial FC getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Dionysos Pezos hit a great ball. The Universidade Celestial FC fans' excitement grew in the 60th match minute when Universidade Celestial FC's Enrico Carvalho looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. If Didi Paranaense had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Aleksander Majerowicz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dionysos Pezos in the 66th minute of play. 67 minutes into the game, Enrico Carvalho cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-2. Aleksander Majerowicz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Enrico Carvalho in the 70th minute a chance for a shot on goal. The audience was convinced that Enrico Carvalho's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Aleksander Majerowicz was relentless in the 73rd minute of the game. In the 74th minute the ball was on its way in behind Campos Juniors's goalkeeper Aleksander Majerowicz, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Universidade Celestial FC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
