The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Gaston Sessa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Maël Le Duigou, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. Idrottsföreningen Elfsbor's Chap Villajane proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 4th minute of the match, managed to save Idrottsföreningen Elfsbor from getting a goal against them. Chap Villajane made an important save on a dangerous shot by Baltazar Alagoano in the 4th minute. Universidade Celestial FC's Gaston Sessa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vítor Martins in the 5th minute of play. Gaston Sessa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vítor Martins, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 12 minutes into the match, Idrottsföreningen Elfsbor's goal looked a bit too open when Enrico Carvalho came free, but Chap Villajane reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Baltazar Alagoano's late challenge caught a Idrottsföreningen Elfsbor's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Baltazar Alagoano helped the player get up and apologised. In the 12th minute, Baltazar Alagoano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Baltazar Alagoano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Chap Villajane having to interfere. Chap Villajane took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dionysos Pezos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Chap Villajane made a fantastic save in the 24th minute, when Enrico Carvalho sent off a good shot on target. Universidade Celestial FC's Gaston Sessa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maël Le Duigou in the 30th minute of play. Gaston Sessa came out of the goal in the 33rd minute to try and stop a shot by Idrottsföreningen Elfsbor's Vítor Martins. But to his dismay, Vítor Martins quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. After 38 played minutes Universidade Celestial FC got a freekick which was hit by Didi Paranaense. 44 minutes into the match, Universidade Celestial FC's goal looked a bit too open when Maël Le Duigou came free, but Gaston Sessa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Dionysos Pezos to make the kick off. Gaston Sessa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Maël Le Duigou in the 51st minute of the match. Universidade Celestial FC's Gaston Sessa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maël Le Duigou in the 59th minute of play. Gaston Sessa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Maël Le Duigou in the 66th minute of the match. Universidade Celestial FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. André Luiz Brodel ran over to the corner to take the kick. Universidade Celestial FC's Didi Paranaense quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Erik-Jan Vandendriessche, made in the 88th minute of the game. Gaston Sessa made a fantastic save in the 91st minute, when Josué Santos sent off a good shot on target. Reinaldo Albuquerque's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Gaston Sessa firmly grabbed it by the left post. Josué Santos could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 96th minute of the match, but Gaston Sessa made a huge save. The Idrottsföreningen Elfsbor supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Idrottsföreningen Elfsbor would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
