Falcão Velasco made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ademir Barros in the 7th minute. Pimenta FC's Elder Moura played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Oséias Almeida in the 9th minute of play. In a very dangerous position, a player in Pimenta FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 10th minute. Penalty! Rafa Berger scored 0-2 in the 16th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Elder Moura, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 21st minute Armando de Azevedo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Falcão Velasco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 29th minute, Anibal Lehoi left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Coquiero fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. Pimenta FC's Elder Moura played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rafa Berger in the 35th minute of play. Elder Moura made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rafa Berger in the 42nd minute of play. In the 46th minute, Ademir Barros ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Falcão Velasco was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. Disappointed in the 1-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Oséias Almeida was the one to do the kick off. When Armando de Azevedo came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the Pimenta FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Armando de Azevedo couldn't finish the play. 57 minutes into the game, Ademir Barros cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-3. Falcão Velasco was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 63rd minute, Ademir Barros made a precise shot to the right of Falcão Velasco. Coquiero's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-3. Elder Moura made an important save on a dangerous shot by Marcelo Macedo in the 68th minute. 69 minutes into the game, Oséias Almeida cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-4. Elder Moura was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After having played for 73 minutes, Ademir Barros managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pimenta FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ademir Barros was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Anibal Lehoi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 82nd minute, Oséias Almeida ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Elder Moura was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-5. Elder Moura didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 87th minute, which inside left pole to 3-6. 93 minutes into the match, Pimenta FC's goalkeeper Elder Moura had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Flávio de Queirós. With a little luck, Pimenta FC's Elder Moura got control of the ball when Marcelo Macedo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Coquiero played a much better game than Pimenta FC and deserved their victory. The Pimenta FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
