The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a defensive mix-up in AD Oeiras's zone, Eddie Njurenius stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Claudinho Arruda came out of the goal and Eddie Njurenius tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 24 minutes, Alfredão Messias mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the AD Oeiras and the Varadouro F. C. players grew even worse after the yellow card. Alfredão Messias kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. In the 27th minute of the match, Eddie Njurenius tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Claudinho Arruda saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After 29 minutes AD Oeiras's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Anaku Keren who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Anaku Keren got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Claudinho Arruda quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Varadouro F. C.'s Oséias Nascimento got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. AD Oeiras's defense didn't have a chance, in the 44th minute, when Oséias Nascimento scored to the left of an out of position Claudinho Arruda, making the score, 2-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Alfredão Messias made a kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Varadouro F. C.'s goalkeeper Silvestre Oro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Zé Paulo Bertassi. Claudinho Arruda stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Oséias Nascimento's shot from short distance in the 55th minute. Claudinho Arruda took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eddie Njurenius, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to AD Oeiras getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Germano Toledo hit a great ball. Varadouro F. C.'s Oséias Nascimento suffered a concussion in the 61st minute, after a hard challenge, and had to leave the field. 61 minutes into the game, Percy do Nascimento was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. AD Oeiras's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Varadouro F. C. the free kick. Varadouro F. C. made a substitution. Jean Prata replaced Oséias Nascimento. In a very dangerous position, a player in AD Oeiras fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 61st minute. Penalty! Claudinho Arruda showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Inácio Miranda, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jean Prata in the 69th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Claudinho Arruda prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Claudinho Arruda took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jean Prata, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Claudinho Arruda showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jean Prata, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. After 77 played minutes Varadouro F. C. got a freekick which was hit by Eddie Njurenius. AD Oeiras's Breno Barral was substituted for Lucas de Sena. Eddie Njurenius kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. AD Oeiras's Claudinho Arruda played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eddie Njurenius in the 80th minute of play. In the 84th minute Jean Prata shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Claudinho Arruda saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Claudinho Arruda came out of the goal in the 86th minute to try and stop a shot by Varadouro F. C.'s Eddie Njurenius. But to his dismay, Eddie Njurenius quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. 90 minutes into the game, Germano Toledo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. AD Oeiras's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Varadouro F. C. the free kick. In the 92nd minute there was a penalty for Varadouro F. C.. Anaku Keren stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Claudinho Arruda. 4-0. In the 96th minute Eddie Njurenius shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Claudinho Arruda saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Claudinho Arruda made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jean Prata in the 98th minute of play. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Varadouro F. C. had played much better football throughout.
