Washington de Lara showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Walmir Pombal in the 11th minute of the match. Carlos Alberto Soares received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Washington de Lara tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Washington de Lara made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carlos Alberto Soares in the 20th minute of play. André Maraschin could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 25th minute of the match, but Reko Nybacka made a huge save. 26 minutes into the match, Catugi FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ruperto Naike came free, but Reko Nybacka reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A nice corner shot did that Christian Rossi got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Reko Nybacka quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After having played for 35 minutes, Dante Pero managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tirense F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Dante Pero was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Washington de Lara showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carlos Alberto Soares, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

Erik Sanches sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 59 played minutes Tirense F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Sun 孙冰冰. André Maraschin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Reko Nybacka having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by André Maraschin in the 63rd minute of play forced Catugi FC's goalkeeper Reko Nybacka to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 67th minute Dante Pero shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Reko Nybacka saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dante Pero in the 67th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Reko Nybacka prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, Tirense F.C.'s Ruperto Naike got a free kick in the 71st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carlos Alberto Soares in the 73rd minute of play forced Tirense F.C.'s goalkeeper Washington de Lara to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Catugi FC's Jaime França got a free kick in the 81st minute. Sun 孙冰冰 charged in rather forcefully in the 85th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. In the 94th minute of the match Christian Rossi sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Reko Nybacka skillfully saved the ball. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
