Oséias Nascimento started the match with the kick off. Hacı Demirdelen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 4th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Tirense F.C.'s Washington de Lara played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Oséias Nascimento in the 5th minute of play. 6 minutes had been played when some careless play by Tirense F.C.'s defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Anaku Keren was slow to take the kick. During this time Varadouro F. C.'s players had a chance to rest. Silvestre Oro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hacı Demirdelen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Renatinho Peixoto kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. In the 21st minute of the match, Inácio Miranda got a very nice opportunity to score, but Washington de Lara was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Varadouro F. C.'s Inácio Miranda came free and shot a quick shot against goal 23 minutes in the game, fortunately Washington de Lara had problems saving as it came toward the left post. Thanks to some nice moves Inácio Miranda could shoot a difficult shot in the 25th minute, which Washington de Lara however easily saved by the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Oséias Nascimento in the 34th minute of play forced Tirense F.C.'s goalkeeper Washington de Lara to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 36thth minute of the game Oséias Nascimento who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Tirense F.C.'s Washington de Lara was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 38 minutes into the match, Hacı Demirdelen had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Silvestre Oro. Varadouro F. C.'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Hacı Demirdelen was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. In the 41st minute Oséias Nascimento shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Washington de Lara saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Vito Tasso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Dante Pero stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After having played for 52 minutes, Hacı Demirdelen managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tirense F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Hacı Demirdelen was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Dante Pero sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 65th minute of the game Enio Arruda made a throw-in which Anaku Keren played forward. André Maraschin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Varadouro F. C.'s Enio Arruda got a free kick in the 88th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when André Maraschin got free with Silvestre Oro in the 92nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The Varadouro F. C. players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
