The audience thought a goal was coming when Francisco da Costa got free with Franklin Montenegro in the 19th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Clemente Machado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 22nd minute Nelson Penha shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Léo Vergílio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 27 minutes of play, A.D Garotos do Vale's Sidney Castro made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. After the first half A.D Garotos do Vale were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Léo Vergílio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ademir de Azevedo in the 84th minute of play. Franklin Montenegro came out of the goal in the 92nd minute to try and stop a shot by APOCALIPSE's Francisco da Costa. But to his dismay, Francisco da Costa quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-5. A.D Garotos do Vale played a much better game than APOCALIPSE and deserved their victory. The APOCALIPSE players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
