Mike Maignan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Matías Arantes in the 34th minute of play. 35 minutes into the match, 8686 mangalot's goal looked a bit too open when Glauco Carneiro came free, but Lukasz Adamowicz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the 8686 mangalot defense, Glauco Carneiro kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Lukasz Adamowicz. The 8686 mangalot fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Lukasz Adamowicz should have stopped the shot. Lukasz Adamowicz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. EC São José's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
