Xurupita FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Brunogenio made a substitution. Cléber Arce replaced Matías Catarinense. In the 95th match minute, Brunogenio was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wiliam Salgado to maneuver through the defense. Célio Maranhense sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Xurupita FC played a much better game than Brunogenio and deserved their victory. The Brunogenio players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
