Ricardinho Dantas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 10th minute of the match, but Cauã Lopes made a huge save. Cauã Lopes made an important save on a dangerous shot by Basílio Guedes in the 12th minute. Real Mente Burro's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Roberto Simão in the 16th minute. The corner ended in Roberto Simão almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Catete United FC's Antônio Peres did a great save. 17 minutes into the match, Real Mente Burro's goal looked a bit too open when Ricardinho Dantas came free, but Cauã Lopes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers George Apelqvist in the 23rd managed to get into a good position. In the 25th minute of the match, Basílio Guedes got a very nice opportunity to score, but Cauã Lopes was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Cauã Lopes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zeca Souza, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. After 94 minutes of play, Catete United FC's Ricardinho Dantas made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Cauã Lopes was left in no man's land by his defense there! Catete United FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
