In the 20th minute Catete United FC were awarded a corner. André Trindade went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led Catete United FC's André Trindade to fire away a dangerous shot which Alessio Ingegno despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 22 minutes into the match, Catete United FC's goalkeeper Antônio Peres had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jean-Paul Palsma. Antônio Peres took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Roch Debkowski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 27th minute the ball was on its way in behind Potomati Team's goalkeeper Alessio Ingegno, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 30 minutes into the match, Catete United FC's goalkeeper Antônio Peres had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dé Eger. Potomati Team were awarded a corner in the 31th minute after Catete United FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Pedro Paulo Cardoso took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Tarcísio Vides got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Antônio Peres quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 33rd minute Ricardinho Dantas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alessio Ingegno saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The corner ended in André Trindade almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Potomati Team's Alessio Ingegno did a great save. After a defensive mix-up in Potomati Team's zone, Ricardinho Dantas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alessio Ingegno came out of the goal and Ricardinho Dantas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Antônio Peres showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tarcísio Vides in the 44th minute of the match. After 47 played minutes Catete United FC got a freekick which was hit by Radek Románek. Pedro Paulo Cardoso's shot from long distance in the 48th minute was not bad at all, but Catete United FC's Antônio Peres knew what was happening and pushed the ball into his arms just before it hit the right post. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The wind increased when Ricardinho Dantas made the kick off in the second half. Alessio Ingegno showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ricardinho Dantas in the 51st minute of the match. The corner ended in André Trindade almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Potomati Team's Alessio Ingegno did a great save. When Alberto Albuquerque fell near the penalty area in the 55th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Catete United FC's protests and gave Alberto Albuquerque a yellow card for diving instead. After 55 played minutes Catete United FC got a freekick which was hit by Alberto Albuquerque. In the 57th minute, Dorian Ortiz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 58 minutes into the match, Potomati Team's goalkeeper Alessio Ingegno had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by André Trindade. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ricardinho Dantas in the 60th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alessio Ingegno saved Potomati Team from getting behind. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dé Eger during the 62nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Catete United FC booed when Potomati Team was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dé Eger didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ricardinho Dantas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Alessio Ingegno tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 67th minute, Basílio Guedes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Catete United FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Basílio Guedes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alessio Ingegno breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Potomati Team booed when Catete United FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alberto Albuquerque didn't get a good kick on the ball.
