The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Alexandre Souto was the one to do the kick off. If Glauco Carneiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 85thth minute of the game Görkem Ahioğlu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but EC São José's Mike Maignan was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 87th minute, one of AMERICANO F.C.:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for AMERICANO F.C.. The referee gave EC São José a penalty, 88 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Alexandre Souto, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of AMERICANO F.C.'s Silver Mineur. 3-1. In the 92nd minute, one of EC São José:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for EC São José. EC São José:s Mike Maignan showed great skill when he stopped Gildo Cearense:s penalty. 93 minutes into the match, Gildo Cearense had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Mike Maignan. EC São José's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gildo Cearense was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-2. A hard shot 97 in the game by Görkem Ahioğlu from a close distance when the talented Mike Maignan managed to make a qualified save. EC São José's players were relieved. EC São José's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Görkem Ahioğlu 99 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 3-3. AMERICANO F.C. succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though EC São José had controlled the match.
