Motta Van Bastén received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Siro Abel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Vito Couto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from João Pedro Eger in the 10th minute of play. João Pedro Eger took the ball and in the 11 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Vito Couto. Vito Couto dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Siro Abel stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Motta Van Bastén's shot from short distance in the 14th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Motta Van Bastén in the 21st minute of play forced Sedex F.C's goalkeeper Siro Abel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 21 played minutes Sedex F.C got a freekick which was hit by Roberto Paraibano. Sedex F.C's Siro Abel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Motta Van Bastén in the 22nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by João Pedro Eger in the 26th minute of play forced Jenny FC's goalkeeper Vito Couto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Jenny FC getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Jorge Dionísio hit a great ball. Sedex F.C's João Pedro Eger got his second yellow card of the match in the 29th minute. The referee ordered João Pedro Eger off the ground. In the 30th minute, João Pedro Eger hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Jenny FC's Edgar Domala was substituted for Wasyl Arbaszewski. Siro Abel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edgar Domala, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. Motta Van Bastén struck a weak shot in the 54th minute. Siro Abel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Jenny FC. Durvalino de Brito sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Siro Abel came out of the goal in the 64th minute to try and stop a shot by Jenny FC's Jorge Dionísio. But to his dismay, Jorge Dionísio quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. After some careless play in the Sedex F.C defense, Edgar Domala kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Siro Abel. The Sedex F.C fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Siro Abel should have stopped the shot. In the 73rd minute, Motta Van Bastén got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 75th minute, Motta Van Bastén managed to get in a good position for a shot. Jenny FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Motta Van Bastén was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Siro Abel breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jenny FC's Vito Couto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sílvio Luís Correia in the 88th minute of play. 90 minutes into the match, Sedex F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Motta Van Bastén came free, but Siro Abel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Siro Abel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Motta Van Bastén in the 96th minute of play. After 97 minutes, Zé Pedro Travassos mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Jenny FC and the Sedex F.C players grew even worse after the yellow card. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Jenny FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Sedex F.C had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
