Arthur Perez didn't get a good kick on the ball. Paulinho Afonso took the ball and in the 10 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Dráuzio de Andrade. Dráuzio de Andrade dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. After some careless play in the Barruada SS defense, Alfredo do Nascimento kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dráuzio de Andrade. The Barruada SS fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dráuzio de Andrade should have stopped the shot. In the 18th minute, Délio de Barros ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Dráuzio de Andrade was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. Dráuzio de Andrade took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Paulinho Afonso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rogelio Thomas made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ediberto Ceresso in the 23rd minute. After 25 minutes, Arthur Perez mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Barruada SS and the Catanduvense FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Alfredo do Nascimento fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dráuzio de Andrade having to interfere. After 28 played minutes Barruada SS got a freekick which was hit by Tomás Lima. In the 29th minute, Alfredo do Nascimento made a precise shot to the right of Dráuzio de Andrade. Barruada SS's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-4. An unexpectedly hard shot by Paulinho Afonso in the 34th minute of play forced Barruada SS's goalkeeper Dráuzio de Andrade to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 39 minutes into the match, Paulinho Afonso notched a goal, 0-6, to the right of Barruada SS's Dráuzio de Andrade. Dráuzio de Andrade was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Barruada SS's Dráuzio de Andrade played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paulinho Afonso in the 48th minute of play. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Juninho Cruz was the one to do the kick off.
