In the 12th minute Pedrão Coelho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Natalio Betadur saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Augusto Pontess short, quick shot in the 14thth minute got Duarte de Barros to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 15th minute Tizian Mutach shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Natalio Betadur saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Escorpios F. C.'s Duarte de Barros got control of the ball when Fabiano Castelli tried to sneak it across the goal line. The player immediately received a yellow card. Duarte de Barros made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Augusto Pontes in the 59th minute of play. Zé Carlos Fernandez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Natalio Betadur having to interfere. C.'s Duarte de Barros tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Augusto Pontes in the 72nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Duarte de Barros prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After some fancy dribbling in the 73rd minute, Matheus Gay managed to get in a good position for a shot. Santa Teresa's supporters rose to their feet, but Matheus Gay was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Duarte de Barros breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 75th minute Matheus Gay shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Duarte de Barros saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. For all the effort they put into the match, the Escorpios F. C. players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense.
