Spectators: 7658 (Terracing: 5745, Seating: 1761, VIP seats: 152) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Pedrão Coelho started the match with the kick off. The supporters of GLocos do Cerrado FC booed when Escorpios F. C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Juninho das Neves didn't get a good kick on the ball. Paulo José Loyola scored 1-1 in the 9th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Duarte de Barros, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 12 minutes into the match, Escorpios F. C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Murillo Figueiredo came free, but Duarte de Barros reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 15 played minutes Escorpios F. C. got a freekick which was hit by André Sarmento. Jaime Dionísio struck a weak shot in the 16th minute. Duarte de Barros didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for GLocos do Cerrado FC. Juninho das Neves hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Paulo José Loyola in the 21st minute of play forced Escorpios F. C.'s goalkeeper Duarte de Barros to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 22nd minute, Murillo Figueiredo made a precise shot to the right of Duarte de Barros. Escorpios F. C.'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. Agnaldo Negri kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. After 29 minutes of play, GLocos do Cerrado FC's Murillo Figueiredo made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Duarte de Barros was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Jaime Dionísio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Duarte de Barros made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carlos Manuel Lavandero in the 38th minute of play. Oséas Leite kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. In the 43rd minute Jaime Dionísio suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Pablo Gentil during the 43rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. GLocos do Cerrado FC's Augusto Baptista was substituted for Jaime Dionísio. After a rather tough play, Escorpios F. C.'s Pablo Gentil got a free kick in the 44th minute.

After 57 minutes of play, GLocos do Cerrado FC's Carlos Manuel Lavandero made it 1-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Duarte de Barros was left in no man's land by his defense there! The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Bo-Erik Lidberg during the 60th minute. Paulo José Loyola could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 68th minute of the match, but Duarte de Barros made a huge save. Duarte de Barros stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Paulo José Loyola's shot from short distance in the 69th minute. If Murillo Figueiredo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Murillo Figueiredo took the ball and in the 74 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Duarte de Barros. Duarte de Barros dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-6. 78 minutes into the match, Paulo José Loyola had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Duarte de Barros. Escorpios F. C.'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Paulo José Loyola was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-7. Duarte de Barros was a little too slow when Murillo Figueiredo got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 82nd minute. The score was now 1-8. 87 minutes into the match, Escorpios F. C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Cássio Gonçalves came free, but Duarte de Barros reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match was over GLocos do Cerrado FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Escorpios F. C. throughout the match.
