Virgílio Custódio ran over to the corner to take the kick. In the 30th match minute, Vasco FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Moise Zgrăbunţa to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edmílson Veloso in the 32nd minute of play forced Vasco FC's goalkeeper Franklin Bittencourt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 40 minutes of play, Vasco FC's Raphael Veiga made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Giuseppe Barreto was left in no man's land by his defense there! The supporters of Sosoco FC booed when Vasco FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wanderson Urbano didn't get a good kick on the ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Raphael Veiga to make the kick off. Giuseppe Barreto came out of the goal in the 53rd minute to try and stop a shot by Vasco FC's Raphael Veiga. But to his dismay, Raphael Veiga quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. Giuseppe Barreto was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-0. 64 minutes into the match, Sosoco FC's goal looked a bit too open when Alim Akkaya came free, but Giuseppe Barreto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Franklin Bittencourt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Enio Azevedo in the 65th minute of play. In the 66th minute, one of Sosoco FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Sosoco FC. Luís Guilherme Carvalho blasted a shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Franklin Bittencourt having to make a save. After a defensive mix-up in Sosoco FC's zone, Moise Zgrăbunţa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Giuseppe Barreto came out of the goal and Moise Zgrăbunţa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 76th minute, Raphael Veiga managed to get in a good position for a shot. Vasco FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Raphael Veiga was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Giuseppe Barreto breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Giuseppe Barreto came out of the goal in the 79th minute to try and stop a shot by Vasco FC's Moise Zgrăbunţa. But to his dismay, Moise Zgrăbunţa quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 7-0. Vasco FC's Franklin Bittencourt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luís Guilherme Carvalho in the 83rd minute of play. After some careless play in the Sosoco FC defense, Raphael Veiga kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Giuseppe Barreto. The Sosoco FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Giuseppe Barreto should have stopped the shot. Caco Arruda hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. In the 88th minute Raphael Veiga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Giuseppe Barreto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Moise Zgrăbunţa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 95 minutes into the match, Moise Zgrăbunţa notched a goal, 9-0, to the right of Sosoco FC's Giuseppe Barreto. Giuseppe Barreto was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Vasco FC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
