Spectators: 7713 (Terracing: 5786, Seating: 1774, VIP seats: 153) Sosoco FC's Enio Azevedo started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 2nd minute, Lúcio Mattos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 4 minutes into the match, Escorpios F. C.'s Juninho das Neves sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Giuseppe Barreto narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 9 minutes into the match, Enio Azevedo notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Escorpios F. C.'s Duarte de Barros. Duarte de Barros was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Luís Guilherme Carvalho in the 12th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Duarte de Barros saved Escorpios F. C. from getting behind. After 14 played minutes Escorpios F. C. got a freekick which was hit by Márcio Queirós. Duarte de Barros came out of the goal in the 15th minute to try and stop a shot by Sosoco FC's Edmílson Veloso. But to his dismay, Edmílson Veloso quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Giuseppe Barreto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zé Carlos Fernandez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Giuseppe Barreto stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Pedrão Coelho's shot from short distance in the 21st minute. If Márcio Queirós had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Enio Azevedo in the 29th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Duarte de Barros saved Escorpios F. C. from getting behind. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Zé Carlos Fernandez in the 30th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Giuseppe Barreto saved Sosoco FC from getting behind. 34 minutes into the game, Sosoco FC's Enio Azevedo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Duarte de Barros made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. Delfim Guedes kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. The supporters of Escorpios F. C. booed when Sosoco FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Geovanni Soeiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Duarte de Barros stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Enio Azevedo's shot from short distance in the 40th minute. Pedrão Coelho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Giuseppe Barreto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Edmílson Veloso got free with Duarte de Barros in the 45th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Delfim Guedes kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Pedrão Coelho was the one to do the kick off. Giuseppe Barreto made a fantastic save in the 54th minute, when Pedrão Coelho sent off a good shot on target. Escorpios F. C.'s Duarte de Barros played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Enio Azevedo in the 62nd minute of play. Duarte de Barros showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edmílson Veloso, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. An unexpected shot in the 68th minute by Bo-Erik Lidberg got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Luís Guilherme Carvalho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edmílson Veloso in the 88th minute of play forced Escorpios F. C.'s goalkeeper Duarte de Barros to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 95th minute, Enio Azevedo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Duarte de Barros was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. For all the effort they put into the match, the Escorpios F. C. players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Sosoco FC.
