When Bernardinho Pires came up free with the goalie in the 3rd minute, the GUARANI E.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bernardinho Pires couldn't finish the play. Rodolfo Salgado charged in rather forcefully in the 4th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rodolfo Salgado the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anderson Seco in the 7th minute of play forced Pelado's goalkeeper Silvério Souza to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee ignored Pelado's protests and gave Téo Neves a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Pelado's Téo Neves got a free kick in the 24th minute. Pelado's Silvério Souza played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bernardinho Pires in the 28th minute of play. GUARANI E.C.'s defense didn't have a chance, in the 29th minute, when Ayrton Senna scored to the left of an out of position João Augusto Terra, making the score, 2-0.
