The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 2nd minute, Téo Neves hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 5th minute Téo Neves shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sydney Mendonça saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 8 played minutes GUARANI E.C. got a freekick which was hit by Evaristo Lara. Sydney Mendonça took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ayrton Senna, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ayrton Senna in the 11th minute of play forced GUARANI E.C.'s goalkeeper Sydney Mendonça to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Pelado's Mădălin Păunescu got a free kick in the 12th minute. Silvério Souza showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bernardinho Pires in the 16th minute of the match. The supporters of GUARANI E.C. booed when Pelado was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ayrton Senna didn't get a good kick on the ball. Silvério Souza made a fantastic save in the 22nd minute, when Betão Netto sent off a good shot on target. Silvério Souza made an important save on a dangerous shot by Betão Netto in the 24th minute. Through an outstanding action, after 25 minutes, Silvério Souza successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. After taking down the ball on GUARANI E.C.'s corner Bernardinho Pires fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Silvério Souza quite easily take care of the ball. In the 36th minute Bernardinho Pires shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Silvério Souza saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 37 minutes into the match, GUARANI E.C.'s Vito Bastos sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Silvério Souza narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 38th minute of the match, Betão Netto got a very nice opportunity to score, but Silvério Souza was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. After a rather tough play, GUARANI E.C.'s Evaristo Lara got a free kick in the 40th minute. With 47 minutes on the clock, Pedro Fernandez commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. 47 minutes into the game, one of Pelado:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Silvério Souza had in the 49thth minute some difficulties stopping Betão Netto's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Betão Netto scored 2-0 in the 49th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Silvério Souza, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

Silvério Souza showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Betão Netto, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. Bernardinho Pires struck a weak shot in the 56th minute. Silvério Souza didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for GUARANI E.C.. 麦扬文 sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Gerson Coelho charged in rather forcefully in the 62nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gerson Coelho the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 62nd minute, Gerson Coelho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Betão Netto in the 65th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Silvério Souza saved Pelado from getting behind. After a rather tough play, GUARANI E.C.'s Rosendo Eutor got a free kick in the 66th minute. In the 69th minute of the match Pelado got a corner. GUARANI E.C.'s goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. LucaLucan Lucas ran over to the corner to take the kick. Pelado's LucaLucan Lucas was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Sydney Mendonça in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 77th minute Vicente Paraense shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Silvério Souza saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Betão Netto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Vito Bastos fell near the penalty area in the 85th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored GUARANI E.C.'s protests and gave Vito Bastos a yellow card for diving instead. Vito Bastos hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. In the 90thth minute of the game Betão Netto who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Pelado's Silvério Souza was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Hermínio de Carvalho fell near the penalty area in the 91st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Pelado's protests and gave Hermínio de Carvalho a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Pelado getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Hermínio de Carvalho hit a great ball. Betão Netto's late challenge caught a Pelado's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Betão Netto helped the player get up and apologised. Betão Netto kicked well hit freekick during the 97th minute of the match. For all the effort they put into the match, the Pelado players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for GUARANI E.C..
