Guto do Vale tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 14 minutes, Petrică Mercescu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. GØRDÃØ TEAM's supporters crossed their fingers, but Petrică Mercescu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 17th minute, Ernani Pimenta hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some careless play in the GØRDÃØ TEAM defense, Fabinho Bezerra kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Adhemar Figueiredo. The GØRDÃØ TEAM fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Adhemar Figueiredo should have stopped the shot. Guto do Vale made a fantastic save in the 22nd minute, when Petrică Mercescu sent off a good shot on target. In the 24th minute Fabinho Bezerra shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adhemar Figueiredo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Guto do Vale made an important save on a dangerous shot by Petrică Mercescu in the 27th minute. In the 28thth minute of the game Lauder Boston who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Vicit FC's Guto do Vale was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 34 played minutes GØRDÃØ TEAM got a freekick which was hit by Ernani Pimenta. A hard shot 39 in the game by Petrică Mercescu from a close distance when the talented Guto do Vale managed to make a qualified save. Vicit FC's players were relieved. The audience was convinced that Fabinho Bezerra's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Adhemar Figueiredo was relentless in the 41st minute of the game. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Fabinho Bezerra stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 53 minutes, Marcos da Rocha mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the GØRDÃØ TEAM and the Vicit FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 53 played minutes GØRDÃØ TEAM got a freekick which was hit by Marcos da Rocha. Lauder Boston fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Guto do Vale having to interfere. Petrică Mercescu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 59th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Guto do Vale showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Petrică Mercescu, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. Guto do Vale showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Petrică Mercescu in the 64th minute of the match. Fabinho Bezerra charged in rather forcefully in the 68th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Fabinho Bezerra the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 68 played minutes Vicit FC got a freekick which was hit by Fabinho Bezerra. Lauder Boston took the ball and in the 70 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Guto do Vale. Guto do Vale dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. The supporters of GØRDÃØ TEAM booed when Vicit FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Clóvis Abraão didn't get a good kick on the ball. Guto do Vale came out of the goal in the 78th minute to try and stop a shot by GØRDÃØ TEAM's Petrică Mercescu. But to his dismay, Petrică Mercescu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. In the 81st minute, Kaká Campidelis reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Adhemar Figueiredo. The goal made the score 2-2. Petrică Mercescu scored 3-2 in the 85th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Guto do Vale, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After having played for 90 minutes, Marcos da Rocha managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. GØRDÃØ TEAM's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marcos da Rocha was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Vicit FC's zone, Petrică Mercescu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Guto do Vale came out of the goal and Petrică Mercescu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the referee ended the match the GØRDÃØ TEAM players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
