Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Alfredo Dante started the match with the kick off. A collision led to PERNA DE PAU SC getting a freekick after 2 minutes play. João Pedro Vaz hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Valdir Lira in the 5th minute of play forced PERNA DE PAU SC's goalkeeper Geovanni Arruda to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 5 minutes into the game, Valdir Lira cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Geovanni Arruda was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Flavinho Quirino's late challenge caught a PERNA DE PAU SC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Flavinho Quirino helped the player get up and apologised. The crowd rose to their feet as PERNA DE PAU SC's Ronaldão Loureiro slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Paulo Renato de Souza. That made the score 1-1 after 8 minutes of play. Paulo Renato de Souza took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from João Pedro Vaz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Alfredo Dante fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paulo Renato de Souza having to interfere. In the 21st minute, Valdir Lira left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Aiuaba fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. After a rather tough play, Aiuaba's Jonathan Ramos got a free kick in the 24th minute. Ian Amorim blasted a shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Paulo Renato de Souza having to make a save. Ronaldão Loureiro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 28th minute, John Ponta left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The PERNA DE PAU SC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. Ruben Paz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 37th minute, João Pedro Vaz made a precise shot to the right of Paulo Renato de Souza. Aiuaba's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-2. 41 minutes into the game, Rafa de Moraes was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Aiuaba's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave PERNA DE PAU SC the free kick. The supporters of PERNA DE PAU SC booed when Aiuaba was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rafa de Moraes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ian Amorim recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 45th minute of the match Sun Yin Hao shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Paulo Renato de Souza showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Ronaldão Loureiro was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 47th minute. PERNA DE PAU SC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-2 at half-time.

The wind increased when Tomás Siqueira made the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, Aiuaba's goal looked a bit too open when Alfredo Dante came free, but Paulo Renato de Souza reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 55 minutes into the game, John Ponta cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-2. Paulo Renato de Souza was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Paulo Renato de Souza didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from John Ponta went, in the 58th minute, to the upper right corner, 5-2 was the resulting score. Paulo Renato de Souza showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from João Pedro Vaz in the 64th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by John Ponta during the 65th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 65th minute, John Ponta hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Geovanni Arruda made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomás Siqueira in the 66th minute of play. If Ronaldão Loureiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ruben Paz in the 72nd minute of play forced Aiuaba's goalkeeper Paulo Renato de Souza to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alfredo Dante received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Paulo Renato de Souza tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. PERNA DE PAU SC's John Ponta got a good chance for a goal in the 84th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 89 minutes into the match, Aiuaba's goal looked a bit too open when John Ponta came free, but Paulo Renato de Souza reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alfredo Dante in the 90th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Paulo Renato de Souza prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Alfredo Dante struck a weak shot in the 92nd minute. Paulo Renato de Souza didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for PERNA DE PAU SC. There was no doubt that PERNA DE PAU SC were the better team. PERNA DE PAU SC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
