Emílio Velloso's late challenge caught a Independente Brasil's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Emílio Velloso helped the player get up and apologised. Emílio Velloso kicked well hit freekick during the 2nd minute of the match. Ramiro do Nascimento showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fellipe Santos in the 5th minute of the match. Independente Brasil's Ramiro do Nascimento played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carlos Vasconcelos in the 6th minute of play. Goiânia FC's Bilgehan Şerhenk played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nildo Silva in the 11th minute of play. 15 minutes into the match, Independente Brasil's goal looked a bit too open when Abelardo Arce came free, but Ramiro do Nascimento reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 16 minutes into the game, Goiânia FC's Fellipe Santos nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ramiro do Nascimento made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Emílio do Nascimento hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. In the 22nd minute, Abelardo Arce left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Goiânia FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. In the 25th minute of the match, Laerte Marques got a very nice opportunity to score, but Bilgehan Şerhenk was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Júlio Maciel in the 26th minute of play forced Independente Brasil's goalkeeper Ramiro do Nascimento to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 28 minutes into the match, Independente Brasil's goal looked a bit too open when Carlos Vasconcelos came free, but Ramiro do Nascimento reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Abelardo Arce in the 29th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ramiro do Nascimento prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Júlio Maciel kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. In the 33rd minute Carlos Vasconcelos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ramiro do Nascimento saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Abelardo Arce scored 0-3 in the 36th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ramiro do Nascimento, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When Goiânia FC's Carlos Vasconcelos in the 39th minute got a chance for a shot 39th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Emílio Velloso lost his temper 46 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. After 45 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Goiânia FC! Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Abelardo Arce to strike the kick off in the second half. After 55 minutes, Abelardo Arce made it 0-4 with a short kick to the right side. Independente Brasil's Ramiro do Nascimento tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Túlio de Senna scored 0-5 in the 58th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ramiro do Nascimento, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Túlio de Senna took the ball and in the 61 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ramiro do Nascimento. Ramiro do Nascimento dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-6. When Fellipe Santos came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the Goiânia FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fellipe Santos couldn't finish the play. Ramiro do Nascimento showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Álvaro Maciel in the 66th minute of the match. 69 minutes into the game, Abelardo Arce recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Ramiro do Nascimento. Abelardo Arce showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-7. Ramiro do Nascimento came out of the goal in the 73rd minute to try and stop a shot by Goiânia FC's Abelardo Arce. But to his dismay, Abelardo Arce quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-8. With a little luck, Independente Brasil's Ramiro do Nascimento got control of the ball when Abelardo Arce tried to sneak it across the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 81st minute, Júlio Maciel managed to get in a good position for a shot. Goiânia FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Júlio Maciel was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ramiro do Nascimento breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Goiânia FC's Abelardo Arce got a good chance for a goal in the 82nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Independente Brasil's Ramiro do Nascimento played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fellipe Santos in the 84th minute of play. In the 85th minute Abelardo Arce shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ramiro do Nascimento saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Abelardo Arce who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 87thth minute tested the skills of Ramiro do Nascimento when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 0-9 became the score in the 89th minute when Álvaro Maciel elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Fellipe Santos hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. Tostão Montenegro kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. The Independente Brasil fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Goiânia FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
