In the 14th minute Adriano Rodrigues shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Remigio Claus saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cipriano Fresco's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tiaguinho da Cunha read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 17th minute of play. 18 minutes into the match, Xapetuba Futebol Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Stefan Finsberg came free, but Tiaguinho da Cunha reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cipriano Fresco in the 19th minute of play forced Xapetuba Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Tiaguinho da Cunha to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tiaguinho da Cunha took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cipriano Fresco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Xapetuba Futebol Clube were awarded a corner in the 24th minute after Climax FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Flávio Matos took the corner. Tiaguinho da Cunha didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Stefan Finsberg went, in the 32nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. Remigio Claus showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adriano Rodrigues in the 35th minute of the match. 42 minutes into the match, Jacinto Paraíba had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Remigio Claus. Climax FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jacinto Paraíba was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Adriano Rodrigues in the 45th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Remigio Claus prevented the ball from getting in the gole.

Jacinto Paraíba's late challenge caught a Climax FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jacinto Paraíba helped the player get up and apologised. In the 50th match minute, Xapetuba Futebol Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jacinto Paraíba to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ştefan Arghiroiu in the 51st minute of play forced Xapetuba Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Tiaguinho da Cunha to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Flávio Matos hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. Ştefan Arghiroiu struck a weak shot in the 54th minute. Xapetuba Futebol Clube's Tiaguinho da Cunha played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Stefan Finsberg in the 62nd minute of play. In the 66th minute, Stefan Finsberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Climax FC's Remigio Claus proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 69th minute of the match, managed to save Climax FC from getting a goal against them. Remigio Claus showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adriano Rodrigues in the 71st minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cipriano Fresco in the 72nd minute of play forced Xapetuba Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Tiaguinho da Cunha to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tiaguinho da Cunha showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stefan Finsberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. Adriano Rodrigues fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Remigio Claus having to interfere. A collision led to Xapetuba Futebol Clube getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Patrick Neiva hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adriano Rodrigues in the 88th minute of play forced Climax FC's goalkeeper Remigio Claus to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 90 minutes Climax FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Flávio Matos who took care of the corner kick. 93 minutes into the game, Ştefan Arghiroiu threw the ball into play from the sideline. Xapetuba Futebol Clube's Patrick Neiva quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Bernardo Soares hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. Xapetuba Futebol Clube's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
