Argento 1972's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SANTA LUZIA the free kick. In the 19th minute, Alex Hermes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 19 minutes into the match, Argento 1972's goal looked a bit too open when Edgard Paraense came free, but Dida Potiguar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Wilson Esteves made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hamdi Sunay in the 25th minute of play. Edgard Arruda received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Dida Potiguar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Raimundo Paraense fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wilson Esteves having to interfere. Argento 1972's Dida Potiguar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edgard Arruda in the 42nd minute of play. Zachariasz Bronicki was extremely unlucky when he, in the 47th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Edgard Arruda was the one to do the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in SANTA LUZIA's zone, Raimundo Paraense stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Wilson Esteves came out of the goal and Raimundo Paraense tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the match had gone on for 58 minutes, Alex Hermes put it in 2-1 from a short distance just to the right of Wilson Esteves. 61 minutes into the match, SANTA LUZIA's goal looked a bit too open when Alex Hermes came free, but Wilson Esteves reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 61 played minutes SANTA LUZIA got a freekick which was hit by Charles da Cunha. Alex Hermes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 66th match minute, Argento 1972 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joel Pinheiro to maneuver through the defense. Joélson Salles could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 71st minute of the match, but Dida Potiguar made a huge save. Argento 1972's Alex Hermes got a good chance for a goal in the 72nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Zachariasz Bronicki was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 77th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Raimundo Paraense sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Wilson Esteves stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alex Hermes's shot from short distance in the 83rd minute. Zachariasz Bronicki received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Wilson Esteves tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alex Hermes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 88th minute, Fausto Neves hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 90th minute, Joélson Salles hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Zachariasz Bronicki kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. Edgard Paraense's late challenge caught a Argento 1972's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Edgard Paraense helped the player get up and apologised. Zachariasz Bronicki struck a weak shot in the 96th minute. Wilson Esteves didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Argento 1972. Argento 1972's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
