But to his dismay, Sidney Soares quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Manuel Loureiro was out of position in the 7 minute of play, and Zé Damião capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Zé Damião really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. Zé Damião took the ball and in the 10 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Manuel Loureiro. Manuel Loureiro dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. Geovânio Pereira's late challenge caught a Araraquara SS's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Geovânio Pereira helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Jampa Boys getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Geovânio Pereira hit a great ball. After 18 minutes, Zézinho Salgado mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Jampa Boys and the Araraquara SS players grew even worse after the yellow card. Araraquara SS made a substitution. Severino Tavares replaced Zé Damião. Zézinho Salgado hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. With his leg Manuel Loureiro managed to avoid a goal in the 20thth minute, when Araraquara SS's Sidney Soares fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 23rd minute, Araraquara SS's Sidney Soares dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 4-0. After a rather tough play, Jampa Boys's Jaime Lago got a free kick in the 28th minute. An unexpected shot in the 30th minute by João Carlos Rodrigues got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Sidney Soares had several of the Jampa Boys's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 30 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 6-0 score and a disappointed Manuel Loureiro as he didn't even see the shot coming. Jampa Boys's Zézinho Salgado got his second yellow card of the match in the 32nd minute. The referee ordered Zézinho Salgado off the ground. In the 33rd minute, Zézinho Salgado hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Geovanni Guerra sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 37 minutes into the match, Sidney Soares had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Manuel Loureiro. Jampa Boys's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Sidney Soares was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 7-0. If Severino Tavares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jano da Costa in the 43rd minute of play forced Araraquara SS's goalkeeper Erivaldo Nogueira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, Severino Tavares managed to get in a good position for a shot. Araraquara SS's supporters rose to their feet, but Severino Tavares was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Manuel Loureiro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 7-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jano da Costa to strike the kick off in the second half. Erivaldo Nogueira made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jano da Costa in the 52nd minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Jano da Costa kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Erivaldo Nogueira. That made the score 7-1 in the 52 minute of play. A hard shot 55 in the game by Jano da Costa from a close distance when the talented Erivaldo Nogueira managed to make a qualified save. Araraquara SS's players were relieved. Manuel Loureiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from João Carlos Rodrigues in the 68th minute of the match. Manuel Loureiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abel Trevisan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Manuel Loureiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Severino Tavares in the 71st minute of play. A collision led to Araraquara SS getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. João Carlos Rodrigues hit a great ball. In the 76th minute, Abel Trevisan made a precise shot to the right of Manuel Loureiro. Jampa Boys's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 10-1. Geovanni Guerra received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Manuel Loureiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 80 minutes, Sidney Soares put it in 11-1 from a short distance just to the right of Manuel Loureiro. 83 minutes into the game, Araraquara SS's Adelino Luz nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Manuel Loureiro made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 12-1. Manuel Loureiro didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Adelino Luz went, in the 86th minute, to the upper right corner, 13-1 was the resulting score. Araraquara SS's Erivaldo Nogueira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Geovânio Pereira in the 90th minute of play. 92 minutes into the game, Araraquara SS's Severino Tavares nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Manuel Loureiro made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 14-1. Araraquara SS's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
