The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Vitoria da conquista's Barney Stinson got a good chance for a goal in the 4th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Simen Askvik had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Maximilian-Michael Feldhofer showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Allan Costa, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. In the 12th minute, Duarte Sabóia made a precise shot to the right of Christiano Marques. Goiás Esporte Clube's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Barney Stinson's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Christiano Marques read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 16th minute of play. If Basílio Perez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 21st minute Celsinho Macedo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Maximilian-Michael Feldhofer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Vitoria da conquista booed when Goiás Esporte Clube was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eugênio Tróia didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some careless play in the Goiás Esporte Clube defense, Duarte Sabóia kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Christiano Marques. The Goiás Esporte Clube fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Christiano Marques should have stopped the shot. Christiano Marques came out of the goal in the 31st minute to try and stop a shot by Vitoria da conquista's Barney Stinson. But to his dismay, Barney Stinson quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. If Teodoro Totakoxe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 37th minute of the match Barney Stinson shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Christiano Marques showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After 38th play minutes Teodoro Totakoxe shot 0-5, a short shot which went by Christiano Marques and just under the crossbar into goal.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Teodoro Totakoxe was the one to do the kick off. After having played for 52 minutes, Teodoro Totakoxe managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Vitoria da conquista's supporters crossed their fingers, but Teodoro Totakoxe was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 58th minute Vitoria da conquista were awarded a corner. Simen Askvik went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Simen Askvik got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Christiano Marques quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. With a little luck, Goiás Esporte Clube's Christiano Marques got control of the ball when Duarte Sabóia tried to sneak it across the goal line. Christiano Marques made a fantastic save in the 62nd minute, when Teodoro Totakoxe sent off a good shot on target. Celsinho Macedo struck a weak shot in the 64th minute. Maximilian-Michael Feldhofer didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Goiás Esporte Clube. Zé Pedro da Mata kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. Vitoria da conquista's Teodoro Totakoxe was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 73rd play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Barney Stinson received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Christiano Marques came out and tried to block the shot, but Barney Stinson slotted it home off the left post making it 0-7 in the 76th minute. Christiano Marques came out of the goal in the 81st minute to try and stop a shot by Vitoria da conquista's Teodoro Totakoxe. But to his dismay, Teodoro Totakoxe quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-8. Christiano Marques didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Teodoro Totakoxe went, in the 86th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-9 was the resulting score. Teodoro Totakoxes short, quick shot in the 90thth minute got Christiano Marques to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the last second Christiano Marques throw himself and got hold of the ball when Teodoro Totakoxe in the 94thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. In the 95th minute, Barney Stinson fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post.
