Carlos Eduardo Velasco started the match with the kick off. Jacinto Moraes came out of the goal in the 5th minute to try and stop a shot by Araraquara SS's Zé Damião. But to his dismay, Zé Damião quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zé Damião in the 13th minute of play forced Campestre AC's goalkeeper Jacinto Moraes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 16 minutes into the match, Márton Tolnai had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jacinto Moraes. Campestre AC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Márton Tolnai was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. 25 minutes into the match, Araraquara SS's goal looked a bit too open when Hudson Moraes came free, but Erivaldo Nogueira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jacinto Moraes didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from João Carlos Rodrigues went, in the 28th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. Hudson Moraes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 34th minute of the match, but Erivaldo Nogueira made a huge save. Jacinto Moraes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carlos Eduardo Velasco in the 35th minute of play. 37 minutes into the match, Campestre AC's goal looked a bit too open when Carlos Eduardo Velasco came free, but Jacinto Moraes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 41stth minute of the game Eliseu Figueiredo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Campestre AC's Jacinto Moraes was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Jacinto Moraes came out of the goal in the 44th minute to try and stop a shot by Araraquara SS's Zé Damião. But to his dismay, Zé Damião quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-4. After 47 played minutes Araraquara SS got a freekick which was hit by Adelino Luz. After having played for 48 minutes, Eurico de Godoi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Campestre AC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eurico de Godoi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After the first half Araraquara SS were leading 1-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gláuber Mota stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Campestre AC's Jacinto Moraes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zé Damião in the 56th minute of play. 60 minutes into the match, Campestre AC's goal looked a bit too open when Carlos Eduardo Velasco came free, but Jacinto Moraes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 71 minutes into the match, Araraquara SS's Geovanni Guerra sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jacinto Moraes narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 72nd minute, Hudson Moraes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Campestre AC's Vivaldo Brodel was substituted for Gláuber Mota. Campestre AC's Jacinto Moraes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carlos Eduardo Velasco in the 76th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vivaldo Brodel in the 84th minute of play forced Araraquara SS's goalkeeper Erivaldo Nogueira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Carlos Eduardo Velasco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Jacinto Moraes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Abelardo Britto kicked well hit freekick during the 97th minute of the match.
