The tension between the Araraquara SS and the Urameshi FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Nilmar Dracena hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. Erivaldo Nogueira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abelardo Machado in the 3rd minute of play. In the 9th match minute, Araraquara SS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nilmar Dracena to maneuver through the defense. Clemente Loureiro came out of the goal in the 15th minute to try and stop a shot by Araraquara SS's Carlos Eduardo Velasco. But to his dismay, Carlos Eduardo Velasco quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Araraquara SS's Erivaldo Nogueira proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 24th minute of the match, managed to save Araraquara SS from getting a goal against them. Eliseu Figueiredo kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. Tostão Cabral could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 26th minute of the match, but Erivaldo Nogueira made a huge save. With a little luck, Araraquara SS's Erivaldo Nogueira got control of the ball when Tostão Cabral tried to sneak it across the goal line. A collision led to Urameshi FC getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Dave Gahan hit a great ball. If Abelardo Machado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Urameshi FC's Clemente Loureiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carlos Eduardo Velasco in the 40th minute of play. After 41 minutes Urameshi FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Carlos Eduardo Velasco who took care of the corner kick. Edinho Viana made a great header on Araraquara SS's corner, it was just that Urameshi FC's Clemente Loureiro managed to reach the ball for a save. When the match had gone on for 41 minutes, Edinho Viana put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Clemente Loureiro. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tostão Cabral was the one to do the kick off. Abelardo Machado hit a great freekick 50 minutes into the match. In the 55th minute the ball was on its way in behind Araraquara SS's goalkeeper Erivaldo Nogueira, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Clemente Loureiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carlos Eduardo Velasco in the 57th minute of play. After 59 played minutes Urameshi FC got a freekick which was hit by Paulo Renato Neiva. Erivaldo Nogueira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tostão Cabral, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 62 minutes into the match, Araraquara SS's goal looked a bit too open when Tostão Cabral came free, but Erivaldo Nogueira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 65th minute, Paulo Renato Neiva hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 70th match minute, Araraquara SS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sidney Soares to maneuver through the defense. In the 71st minute, Carlos Eduardo Velasco got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 76th minute Tostão Cabral shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Erivaldo Nogueira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. João Carlos Rodrigues hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 82nd minute, Abelardo Machado managed to get in a good position for a shot. Urameshi FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Abelardo Machado was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Erivaldo Nogueira breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Clemente Loureiro made an important save on a dangerous shot by Carlos Eduardo Velasco in the 83rd minute. The corner first didn't look so dangerous but when Adelino Luz got the ball he succeeded in some way to get through the defenders to deliver a very hard score. Result 0-3. 84 minutes into the match. Erivaldo Nogueira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tostão Cabral, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. Tostão Cabral took the ball and in the 94 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Erivaldo Nogueira. Erivaldo Nogueira dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. The Araraquara SS players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
