Felippe Varela started the match with the kick off. Maurício Loureiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Barney Stinson, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. When Célio Fonseca came up free with the goalie in the 10th minute, the Vitoria da conquista fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Célio Fonseca couldn't finish the play. In the 14th minute, Yao Yi Chao left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Lazio fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. 17 minutes into the match, Lazio's goal looked a bit too open when Pedro Luiz Mangueira came free, but Maurício Loureiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 20 minutes into the game, Vitoria da conquista's Barney Stinson nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Maurício Loureiro made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Vitoria da conquista were furious when Hermengildo Montes was red carded, 25 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In a very dangerous position, a player in Vitoria da conquista fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 25th minute. Penalty! Célio Fonseca sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 38 played minutes Vitoria da conquista got a freekick which was hit by Célio Fonseca. Duarte Sabóia took the ball and in the 41 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Maurício Loureiro. Maurício Loureiro dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. Maurício Loureiro didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Duarte Sabóia went, in the 45th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-3 was the resulting score. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 2-3.

The wind increased when Chicão Braga made the kick off in the second half. Giovanni Antunes came out of the goal in the 54th minute to try and stop a shot by Lazio's Yao Yi Chao. But to his dismay, Yao Yi Chao quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-3. Giovanni Antunes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Yao Yi Chao, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Lazio's zone, Chicão Braga stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Maurício Loureiro came out of the goal and Chicão Braga tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Chicão Braga fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Maurício Loureiro having to interfere. After 63 played minutes Lazio got a freekick which was hit by Cristian Luengas. Lazio's Maurício Loureiro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 67th minute of the match, managed to save Lazio from getting a goal against them. 74 minutes into the match, Vitoria da conquista's goal looked a bit too open when Felippe Varela came free, but Giovanni Antunes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Célio Fonseca fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Maurício Loureiro having to interfere. 81 minutes into the game, Felippe Varela cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-3. The supporters of Lazio booed when Vitoria da conquista was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Humberto Corrêa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Chicão Braga might have been able to make a better finish in the 89th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Maurício Loureiro. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Chicão Braga ran back to his position shaking his head. Duarte Sabóia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Maurício Loureiro having to interfere. Duarte Sabóia might have been able to make a better finish in the 94th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Maurício Loureiro. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Duarte Sabóia ran back to his position shaking his head. For all the effort they put into the match, the Vitoria da conquista players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Lazio.
