Spectators: 7710 (Terracing: 5784, Seating: 1773, VIP seats: 153) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Zbyszek Kapinos started the match with the kick off. Mathias Munhoz got a throw-in 11 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Frank Nyman. Botafogo MZRJ's José Vítor Netto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zbyszek Kapinos in the 13th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Botafogo MZRJ's Gilmar Couto got a free kick in the 23rd minute. Mathias Munhoz got a throw-in 28 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Felippe Palmeira. 30 minutes into the match, Skyrim's goal looked a bit too open when Gilmar Couto came free, but Luiz Fernando Falcão reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 32 played minutes Botafogo MZRJ got a freekick which was hit by Léo Baptista. José Vítor Netto was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 33rd minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Miguel Amaral. A nice corner shot did that Miguel Amaral got away a dangerous shot. Despite this José Vítor Netto quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 40 minutes into the match, Gilmar Couto notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Skyrim's Luiz Fernando Falcão. Luiz Fernando Falcão was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a defensive mix-up in Skyrim's zone, Jailson Capixaba stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Luiz Fernando Falcão came out of the goal and Jailson Capixaba tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gilmar Couto in the 47th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Luiz Fernando Falcão prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

Mathias Munhoz made in the 50th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Botafogo MZRJ's Juvenal Camargo. In the 54th minute Gilmar Couto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luiz Fernando Falcão saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luiz Fernando Falcão showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jailson Capixaba in the 55th minute of the match. In the 62nd minute Cristian Ronaldo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but José Vítor Netto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Zbyszek Kapinos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without José Vítor Netto having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gilmar Couto in the 65th minute of play forced Skyrim's goalkeeper Luiz Fernando Falcão to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Felippe Palmeira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 76th minute, Botafogo MZRJ's Antônio Lopez dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-3. Cristian Ronaldo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. José Vítor Netto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Ronaldo in the 95th minute of the match. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see Skyrim lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
