Lauro Ribeiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 10 minutes into the game, Bahia EC's Vágner Rosado nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Morjan Al Sayer made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Morjan Al Sayer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from César Leme in the 13th minute of play. 14 minutes into the match, E.C TAUBATÉ's goal looked a bit too open when Paulo Urre came free, but Morjan Al Sayer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 20th minute, Vágner Rosado ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Morjan Al Sayer was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. Bahia EC's Lauro Ribeiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Toninho Arruda in the 24th minute of play. In the 25th minute João Vítor Sabóia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Morjan Al Sayer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lauro Ribeiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Turgay Mutluhan in the 27th minute of play. 27 minutes into the game, Vágner Rosado was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Bahia EC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave E.C TAUBATÉ the free kick. The supporters of E.C TAUBATÉ booed when Bahia EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vágner Rosado didn't get a good kick on the ball. Paulo Urre struck a weak shot in the 32nd minute. Morjan Al Sayer didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bahia EC. In the 33rd match minute, E.C TAUBATÉ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Froilan Sein to maneuver through the defense. Vágner Rosado's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Morjan Al Sayer firmly grabbed it by the left post. A collision led to E.C TAUBATÉ getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Jeremias Paraense hit a great ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

An unexpectedly hard shot by César Leme in the 51st minute of play forced E.C TAUBATÉ's goalkeeper Morjan Al Sayer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. César Leme scored 3-0 in the 52nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Morjan Al Sayer, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After some careless play in the E.C TAUBATÉ defense, César Leme kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Morjan Al Sayer. The E.C TAUBATÉ fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Morjan Al Sayer should have stopped the shot. Toninho Arruda fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lauro Ribeiro having to interfere. Lauro Ribeiro made an important save on a dangerous shot by Clóvis Toscano in the 80th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Toninho Arruda got free with Lauro Ribeiro in the 83rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Lauro Ribeiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Turgay Mutluhan in the 84th minute of the match. Toninho Arruda sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 88 minutes into the match, E.C TAUBATÉ's goal looked a bit too open when João Vítor Sabóia came free, but Morjan Al Sayer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 91 played minutes Bahia EC got a freekick which was hit by Valdemar Barros. In the 94th minute, César Leme left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Bahia EC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 6-0. Bahia EC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest.
