Durvalino Matorin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 12th minute, Toninho Mendes reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Durvalino Paraense. The goal made the score 1-0. Durvalino Paraense made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ronaldo Nazario in the 16th minute of play. In the 16th minute, Jarbas Tróia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 20 minutes, Raí Furtado managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Liverpool FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Raí Furtado was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Alessandro Vargas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Durvalino Matorin in the 22nd minute of the match. Ronaldo Nazario received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Durvalino Paraense tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Durvalino Matorin in the 32nd minute of play forced Geléia FC's goalkeeper Alessandro Vargas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ronaldo Nazario charged in rather forcefully in the 33rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ronaldo Nazario the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Ronaldo Nazario kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. After 34 played minutes Liverpool FC got a freekick which was hit by Raí Furtado. Liverpool FC's Durvalino Paraense played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ronaldo Nazario in the 45th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ronaldo Nazario got free with Durvalino Paraense in the 47th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ronaldo Nazario made a kick off. A collision led to Geléia FC getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Dito Vergílio hit a great ball. Ronaldo Nazario took the ball and in the 62 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Durvalino Paraense. Durvalino Paraense dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. 67 minutes into the match, Geléia FC's goalkeeper Alessandro Vargas had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Durvalino Matorin. In the 69th minute, Toninho Mendes ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Durvalino Paraense was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. Ronaldo Nazario took the ball and in the 75 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Durvalino Paraense. Durvalino Paraense dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. In the 81st minute, Ronaldo Nazario made a precise shot to the right of Durvalino Paraense. Liverpool FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ronaldo Nazario in the 88th minute of play forced Liverpool FC's goalkeeper Durvalino Paraense to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 92 minutes into the match, Liverpool FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ronaldo Nazario came free, but Durvalino Paraense reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. There was no doubt that Geléia FC were the better team. Geléia FC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
