Luís Eduardo Salles received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Iwan Kolbe tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luiz Gustavo Paes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 10th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Frank Siqueira struck a weak shot in the 12th minute. Marcelo Lomba didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Doug Zappa F.C.. Doug Zappa F.C.'s attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Jonas Domingues in the 31st minute. Jonas Domingues made a great header on Doug Zappa F.C.'s corner, it was just that Esporte Club Bahia's Marcelo Lomba managed to reach the ball for a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Frank Siqueira in the 34th minute of play forced Esporte Club Bahia's goalkeeper Marcelo Lomba to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Jonas Domingues came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the Doug Zappa F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jonas Domingues couldn't finish the play. If Jonas Domingues had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jonas Domingues's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Marcelo Lomba read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 46th minute of play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The wind increased when Frank Siqueira made the kick off in the second half. Frank Siqueira could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 51st minute of the match, but Marcelo Lomba made a huge save. 51 minutes into the match, Frank Siqueira dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Marcelo Lomba, 0-1. Jonas Domingues sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 58 minutes into the match, Esporte Club Bahia's goalkeeper Marcelo Lomba had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Frank Siqueira. After some fancy dribbling in the 60th minute, Frank Siqueira managed to get in a good position for a shot. Doug Zappa F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Frank Siqueira was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marcelo Lomba breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Iwan Kolbe didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Luís Eduardo Salles went, in the 63rd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. In the 70th minute, Jonas Domingues left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Doug Zappa F.C. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. 73 minutes into the match, Frank Siqueira had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Marcelo Lomba. Esporte Club Bahia's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Frank Siqueira was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. In the 76th minute the ball was on its way in behind Esporte Club Bahia's goalkeeper Marcelo Lomba, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The crowd rose to their feet as Doug Zappa F.C.'s Frank Siqueira slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Marcelo Lomba. That made the score 1-4 after 81 minutes of play. Luís Eduardo Salles fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Iwan Kolbe having to interfere. Frank Siqueira struck a weak shot in the 86th minute. Marcelo Lomba didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Doug Zappa F.C.. In the 88th minute Jonas Domingues shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcelo Lomba saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Doug Zappa F.C. booed when Esporte Club Bahia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Angelo Salgado didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jonas Domingues sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Válter Negri hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match.
