Chicão Leal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jonas Domingues, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Flavinho Dionísio in the 15th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Iwan Kolbe saved Doug Zappa F.C. from getting behind. Iwan Kolbe came out of the goal in the 21st minute to try and stop a shot by Vila Aurora FC's Flavinho Dionísio. But to his dismay, Flavinho Dionísio quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Rafa de Lima fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Chicão Leal having to interfere. After some careless play in the Vila Aurora FC defense, Jonas Domingues kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Chicão Leal. The Vila Aurora FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Chicão Leal should have stopped the shot. Iwan Kolbe made a fantastic save in the 28th minute, when Flavinho Dionísio sent off a good shot on target. In the 30th minute Frank Siqueira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Chicão Leal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Iwan Kolbe made an important save on a dangerous shot by Silvinho de Senna in the 35th minute. Vila Aurora FC's Chicão Leal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by André Luís Alvarenga in the 37th minute of play. After 40 played minutes Doug Zappa F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Jonas Domingues. Tite Orange charged in rather forcefully in the 42nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tite Orange the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 47 minutes into the match, Doug Zappa F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Cafu Maranhense came free, but Iwan Kolbe reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 47 played minutes Doug Zappa F.C. got a freekick which was hit by André Luís Alvarenga. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Doug Zappa F.C.'s Iwan Kolbe played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Orzaize in the 52nd minute of play. 52 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Vila Aurora FC's Daniel Orzaize fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. Iwan Kolbe showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Orzaize, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Daniel Orzaize in the 64th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Iwan Kolbe saved Doug Zappa F.C. from getting behind. A collision led to Vila Aurora FC getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Gilberto Baumer hit a great ball. Frank Siqueira struck a weak shot in the 78th minute. Chicão Leal didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Doug Zappa F.C.. André Luís Alvarenga's late challenge caught a Vila Aurora FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. André Luís Alvarenga helped the player get up and apologised. André Luís Alvarenga kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. Ezequiel Nóbrega kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 83rd minute, Breno Borges managed to get in a good position for a shot. Vila Aurora FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Breno Borges was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Iwan Kolbe breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Iwan Kolbe showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Orzaize, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. In the 89th minute Daniel Orzaize shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Iwan Kolbe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 89th match minute, Vila Aurora FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Naldo Antunes to maneuver through the defense. Chicão Leal made a fantastic save in the 92nd minute, when Frank Siqueira sent off a good shot on target. After a rather tough play, Vila Aurora FC's Gilberto Baumer got a free kick in the 97th minute. When Jonas Domingues came up free with the goalie in the 97th minute, the Doug Zappa F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jonas Domingues couldn't finish the play.
