Maurício Santana's late challenge caught a Juventudes Libertárias's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Maurício Santana helped the player get up and apologised. After 2 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Martelão FC! When Toninho Figueiredo fell near the penalty area in the 10th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Martelão FC's protests and gave Toninho Figueiredo a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Martelão FC's Toninho Figueiredo got a free kick in the 10th minute. After 12 minutes, Agostinho Almeida made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side. Martelão FC's Arlindo Santos tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. If Agostinho Almeida had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Through an outstanding action, after 17 minutes, Arlindo Santos successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 17th minute, Edson Braddock made a precise shot to the right of Arlindo Santos. Martelão FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. Edson Braddock was extremely unlucky when he, in the 20th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Ricardo Zanette kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. After 23 minutes, Agostinho Almeida made it 3-0 with a short kick to the right side. Martelão FC's Arlindo Santos tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 28 minutes into the game, Gilson Meirelles recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Arlindo Santos. Gilson Meirelles showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 4-0. After a defensive mix-up in Martelão FC's zone, Edson Braddock stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Arlindo Santos came out of the goal and Edson Braddock tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Arlindo Santos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edson Braddock, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Edson Braddock in the 46th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Arlindo Santos saved Martelão FC from getting behind. Dino Baiano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal.

52 minutes into the match, Martelão FC's goal looked a bit too open when Edson Braddock came free, but Arlindo Santos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dino Baiano hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ezequiel Ceresso got free with Alisson Becker in the 55th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 57 minutes into the match, Dino Baiano notched a goal, 6-0, to the right of Martelão FC's Arlindo Santos. Arlindo Santos was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 63rd minute Dino Baiano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arlindo Santos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alisson Becker made a fantastic save in the 69th minute, when Ezequiel Ceresso sent off a good shot on target. 75 minutes into the match, Martelão FC's goal looked a bit too open when Dino Baiano came free, but Arlindo Santos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 78th minute, Agostinho Almeida made a precise shot to the right of Arlindo Santos. Martelão FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 8-0. Arlindo Santos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edson Braddock in the 81st minute of play. After 82 played minutes Martelão FC got a freekick which was hit by Ricardo Zanette. Alisson Becker showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dorival Fontes in the 84th minute of the match. In the 87th minute Gilson Meirelles shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arlindo Santos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 88 minutes into the match, Martelão FC's goal looked a bit too open when Edson Braddock came free, but Arlindo Santos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gilson Meirelles fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arlindo Santos having to interfere. 95 minutes into the match, Martelão FC's goal looked a bit too open when Dino Baiano came free, but Arlindo Santos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Agostinho Almeida struck a weak shot in the 96th minute. Arlindo Santos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Juventudes Libertárias.
