After a defensive mix-up in Esporte Club Bahia's zone, Clóvis Toscano stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marcelo Lomba came out of the goal and Clóvis Toscano tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 14th minute, Esporte Club Bahia's Tiago Xavier ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Morjan Al Sayer. Morjan Al Sayer yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. E.C TAUBATÉ's Morjan Al Sayer proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 18th minute of the match, managed to save E.C TAUBATÉ from getting a goal against them. After 18 minutes, Toninho Arruda mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the E.C TAUBATÉ and the Esporte Club Bahia players grew even worse after the yellow card. But to his dismay, Viggo Lidström quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 8-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luiz Gustavo Paes in the 81st minute of play forced E.C TAUBATÉ's goalkeeper Morjan Al Sayer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 82nd minute Tiago Xavier shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Morjan Al Sayer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 83rd minute, Clóvis Toscano got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A hard shot 85 in the game by Clóvis Toscano from a close distance when the talented Marcelo Lomba managed to make a qualified save. Esporte Club Bahia's players were relieved. Morjan Al Sayer was left in no man's land by his defense there! Morjan Al Sayer didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Luiz Gustavo Paes went, in the 89th minute, to the upper right corner, 10-0 was the resulting score. In the 93rd minute, Michel Schweinsteiger hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 94th minute Luiz Gustavo Paes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Morjan Al Sayer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Esporte Club Bahia's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
