In the 13th minute Paulão Freire shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alberto Queirós saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 18 minutes into the match, Militros F.C.'s goalkeeper Gerd Pollmann had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dráuzio Paraíba. After 20 minutes of play, Militros F.C.'s Sandrinho Cunha made it 0-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Alberto Queirós was left in no man's land by his defense there! Cosimo Tagliente charged in rather forcefully in the 23rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The supporters of Frutal FC booed when Militros F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gabriel Mercado didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gerd Pollmann made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dráuzio Paraíba in the 45th minute of play. The throw-in from Cosme Frichoso in the 47th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Militros F.C.'s Sandrinho Cunha. In the 48thth minute of the game Paulão Freire who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Frutal FC's Alberto Queirós was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After the first half Militros F.C. were leading 0-6. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Militros F.C.'s Wanderson Valencia was substituted for Paulão Freire. Alberto Queirós showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wanderson Valencia, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Wanderson Valencia got free with Alberto Queirós in the 91st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A sloppy throw-in by Matías Urbano in the 97th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Militros F.C.'s Howard Layfield. When the final whistle sounded Militros F.C. left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Frutal FC.
