With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cristian Pernambucano in the 23rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alberto Queirós saved Frutal FC from getting behind. Lino Chano's late challenge caught a Fúria Futebol Clube's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Lino Chano helped the player get up and apologised. 26 minutes into the match, Fúria Futebol Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Dráuzio Paraíba came free, but Júlio Porto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 27th minute, Efraín Bacete ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Júlio Porto was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Eduardo Xerifão hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. Alberto Queirós showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Durval Rossi in the 33rd minute of the match. Efraín Bacete could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 37th minute of the match, but Júlio Porto made a huge save. 37 minutes into the game, Efraín Bacete recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Júlio Porto. Efraín Bacete showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. In the 40th minute Dráuzio Paraíba shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Júlio Porto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Júlio Porto made an important save on a dangerous shot by Efraín Bacete in the 43rd minute. Dráuzio Paraíba fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Júlio Porto having to interfere. A collision led to Frutal FC getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Lino Chano hit a great ball. In the 68th minute Efraín Bacete shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Júlio Porto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Efraín Bacete's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Júlio Porto read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 70th minute of play. The supporters of Frutal FC booed when Fúria Futebol Clube was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hortêncio Fernandes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sílvio Cruz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Alberto Queirós tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Frutal FC's Dráuzio Paraíba in the 77th minute got a chance for a shot 77th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Júlio Porto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Efraín Bacete, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. Cristian Pernambucano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. For all the effort they put into the match, the Fúria Futebol Clube players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Frutal FC.
