Wambasther Taffarel came out and tried to block the shot, but Başar Haylaz slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 12th minute. 18 minutes into the match, Phoenix FC's goal looked a bit too open when Paulo José Brito came free, but Wambasther Taffarel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 19 minutes into the match, Phoenix FC's goalkeeper Wambasther Taffarel had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jânio Linhares. Wambasther Taffarel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abdullah Taş in the 22nd minute of play. From a short distance, PeterDias FC's Abdullah Taş, in the 22nd minute, tried to place the ball behind Wambasther Taffarel, but the ball hit the right post on the wrong side and went out. Jânio Linhares who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 23rdth minute tested the skills of Wambasther Taffarel when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 24 minutes into the match, PeterDias FC's Başar Haylaz broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. Jânio Linhares scored 4-0 in the 38th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Wambasther Taffarel, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 45 minutes into the match, Başar Haylaz notched a goal, 5-0, to the right of Phoenix FC's Wambasther Taffarel. Wambasther Taffarel was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 5-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Abdullah Taş to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute Jânio Linhares shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wambasther Taffarel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Abdullah Taş came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the PeterDias FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Abdullah Taş couldn't finish the play. After some careless play in the Phoenix FC defense, Sidney Corrêa kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Wambasther Taffarel. The Phoenix FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Wambasther Taffarel should have stopped the shot. 59 minutes into the game, Virgílio Linhares threw the ball into play from the sideline. Phoenix FC's Pedro Kannemann quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. In the 60th minute, Rios Ferdinand hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 66 minutes into the match, Jânio Linhares notched a goal, 8-0, to the right of Phoenix FC's Wambasther Taffarel. Wambasther Taffarel was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Rios Ferdinand's late challenge caught a PeterDias FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rios Ferdinand helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Phoenix FC's Rios Ferdinand got a free kick in the 69th minute. In the 78th minute, Virgílio Linhares hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Phoenix FC's Wambasther Taffarel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sidney Corrêa in the 83rd minute of play. Wambasther Taffarel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jânio Linhares in the 84th minute of the match. 86 minutes into the game, Pedro Kannemann was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Phoenix FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave PeterDias FC the free kick. Wambasther Taffarel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jânio Linhares in the 88th minute of the match. In the 91st match minute, PeterDias FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dito Fonseca to maneuver through the defense. Wambasther Taffarel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jânio Linhares, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. PeterDias FC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
