The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 6th minute, PeterDias FC's Virgílio Linhares dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. Durval Rossi took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 10th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Chico Fantini. PeterDias FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 17th minute, Hortêncio Fernandes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 23rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Fúria Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Júlio Porto, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The crowd rose to their feet as PeterDias FC's Jânio Linhares slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Júlio Porto. That made the score 2-0 after 25 minutes of play. After a rather tough play, Fúria Futebol Clube's Luís Fabiano Cerezo got a free kick in the 29th minute. In the 30th minute, Jânio Linhares got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Virgílio Linhares in the 32nd minute of play forced Fúria Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Júlio Porto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 32nd minute, Gil Tróia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Evaristo Mesquita's late challenge caught a PeterDias FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Evaristo Mesquita helped the player get up and apologised. PeterDias FC's Eduardo Quirino was substituted for Percival Simões. Jânio Linhares in the 37thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Júlio Porto, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Virgílio Linhares fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Júlio Porto having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Cristian Pernambucano's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Chico Fantini was relentless in the 42nd minute of the game. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jânio Linhares got free with Júlio Porto in the 44th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Virgílio Linhares made the kick off in the second half. Júlio Porto didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Eduardo Quirino went, in the 56th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. Júlio Porto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jânio Linhares, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 61st minute, Gil Tróia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 63 minutes into the match, Virgílio Linhares notched a goal, 4-0, to the right of Fúria Futebol Clube's Júlio Porto. Júlio Porto was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 70th match minute, Fúria Futebol Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hortêncio Fernandes to maneuver through the defense. Paulo José Brito fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Júlio Porto having to interfere. Virgílio Linhares took the ball and in the 74 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Júlio Porto. Júlio Porto dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-0. 78 minutes into the match, Jânio Linhares had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Júlio Porto. Fúria Futebol Clube's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jânio Linhares was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 6-0. When Cristian Pernambucano came up free with the goalie in the 83rd minute, the Fúria Futebol Clube fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristian Pernambucano couldn't finish the play. Dito Fonseca kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. A hard shot by Nelsinho Nóbrega from long distance, 87 minutes into the match, got Chico Fantini's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. In the 90th minute, Eduardo Quirino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Fúria Futebol Clube booed when PeterDias FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fred Tande didn't get a good kick on the ball. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. PeterDias FC fully deserved thier win.
