When the match had gone on for 3 minutes, Betão Machado took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Alberto Queirós to make any attempt to save it. Betão Machado scored 2-0 in the 7th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Alberto Queirós, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Alberto Queirós made a fantastic save in the 11th minute, when Betão Machado sent off a good shot on target. In the 13th minute, Lino Chano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 14th minute of the match, Betão Machado tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Alberto Queirós saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Radomir Zieba took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 18th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Alberto Queirós. Frutal FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Betão Machado recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 23 minutes, Betão Machado made it 3-0 with a short kick to the right side. Frutal FC's Alberto Queirós tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The Militros F.C. fans' excitement grew in the 31st match minute when Militros F.C.'s Betão Machado looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 4-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The audience thought a goal was coming when Betão Machado got free with Alberto Queirós in the 36th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Betão Machado did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 5-0 to the left of a surprised Alberto Queirós 37 minutes into the match. 42 minutes into the match, Militros F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Efraín Bacete came free, but Oséas Baptista reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 42 minutes in the game, Betão Machado fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Alberto Queirós having to interfere. Alberto Queirós made a fantastic save in the 44th minute, when Betão Machado sent off a good shot on target. If Washington Peixoto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 5-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Betão Machado was the one to do the kick off. When the match had gone on for 52 minutes, Betão Machado put it in 6-0 from a short distance just to the right of Alberto Queirós. In the 57thth minute of the game Betão Machado who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Frutal FC's Alberto Queirós was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Betão Machado in the 60th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alberto Queirós saved Frutal FC from getting behind. In the 64th minute Washington Peixoto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alberto Queirós saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Militros F.C.'s Betão Machado got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 71 minutes into the match, Ronaldão Silva notched a goal, 7-0, to the right of Frutal FC's Alberto Queirós. Alberto Queirós was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Militros F.C.'s Cosimo Tagliente was substituted for Washington Peixoto. Esteve Nesor made in the 77th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Cosme Frichoso immediately put the ball in play. Efraín Bacetes short, quick shot in the 80thth minute got Oséas Baptista to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Wanderson Valencia's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alberto Queirós read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 85th minute of play. Frutal FC's Alberto Queirós played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wanderson Valencia in the 90th minute of play. Dráuzio Paraíba charged in rather forcefully in the 90th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dráuzio Paraíba the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Rik Hello hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. There was no doubt that Militros F.C. were the better team. Militros F.C.'s players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
