With a little luck, Atlético Canelada Sport's Alexandre Marques got control of the ball when Arlindo Godoi tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 41st minute there was a penalty for Pombal FC. Celsinho Mazza stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Alexandre Marques. 2-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Beto Botelho was the one to do the kick off. Arlindo Godoi scored 3-0 in the 54th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Alexandre Marques, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 60th match minute, Atlético Canelada Sport was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Flavinho Antunes to maneuver through the defense. Alexandre Marques made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Waldemar Luz in the 64th minute of play. If Waldemar Luz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alexandre Marques didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Arlindo Godoi went, in the 68th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score. Waldemar Luz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alexandre Marques having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Arlindo Godoi in the 80th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Alexandre Marques prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Arlindo Godoi struck a weak shot in the 84th minute. Alexandre Marques didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pombal FC. Paulo José Vale hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. 86 minutes into the match, Waldemar Luz notched a goal, 5-0, to the right of Atlético Canelada Sport's Alexandre Marques. Alexandre Marques was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 92 played minutes Atlético Canelada Sport got a freekick which was hit by Paulo José Vale.
