Hortêncio Costa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maicon de Moraes in the 13th minute of play. Hortêncio Costa didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Progresso FC's Nestor Fontenelle shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 0-2 in the ordered_time% minute. 17 minutes into the game, Progresso FC's Nestor Fontenelle nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Hortêncio Costa didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Nestor Fontenelle went, in the 29th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-6 was the resulting score. If Nestor Fontenelle had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Nestor Fontenelle's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Hortêncio Costa was relentless in the 35th minute of the game. After 41 played minutes AGE Guarany got a freekick which was hit by Celso Dracena. Hortêncio Costa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Amílton Talló in the 43rd minute of play. The Progresso FC fans' excitement grew in the 44th match minute when Progresso FC's Amílton Talló looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-7 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Nestor Fontenelle to strike the kick off in the second half. Nestor Fontenelle's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Hortêncio Costa firmly grabbed it by the left post. After 52 played minutes Nestor Fontenelle rounded AGE Guarany's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 0-8. The AGE Guarany fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Hortêncio Costa should have stopped the shot. If Amílton Talló had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 63 minutes into the match, AGE Guarany's goalkeeper Hortêncio Costa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Yu Chao Gang. In the 64thth minute of the game Nestor Fontenelle who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but AGE Guarany's Hortêncio Costa was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 65 minutes into the match, Amílton Talló had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Hortêncio Costa. AGE Guarany's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Amílton Talló was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-10. After some fancy dribbling in the 67th minute, Amílton Talló managed to get in a good position for a shot. Progresso FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Amílton Talló was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hortêncio Costa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 70 minutes into the match, Yu Chao Gang had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Hortêncio Costa. AGE Guarany's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Yu Chao Gang was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-11. 74 minutes into the game, Nestor Fontenelle lined in a short shot 0-12 behind a frustrated Hortêncio Costa. With a little luck, AGE Guarany's Hortêncio Costa got control of the ball when Amílton Talló tried to sneak it across the goal line. Nestor Fontenelle in the 80thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Hortêncio Costa, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Hortêncio Costa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gilberto de Lima in the 83rd minute. Hortêncio Costa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nestor Fontenelle in the 85th minute of the match. In the 86th minute Maicon de Moraes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hortêncio Costa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Amílton Talló got free with Hortêncio Costa in the 87th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Progresso FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Benedito Sergipano in the 89th minute. A nice corner shot did that Benedito Sergipano got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Hortêncio Costa quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. AGE Guarany's Hortêncio Costa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 95th minute of the match, managed to save AGE Guarany from getting a goal against them. When the final whistle sounded Progresso FC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than AGE Guarany.
